Oktoberfest Northwest 5k Stein Dash
Work up a sweat and earn that bratwurst! Sign up for the Oktoberfest NW 5k Stein Dash. The run kicks off Sunday at 11:30 a.m. Participants receive a stein to run with (and their first drink post-race free!) and the finish line leads right into the Oktoberfest Northwest Festhalle. All ages welcome. Registration details TBA.
The Sport Haus
The Sport Haus, situated inside of the Oktoberfest Northwest and included in general admission, is a place where sports fans can keep up with the action on their favorite teams that weekend while still joining in the celebration of Oktoberfest. The Sport Haus features a giant 8' screen, two 50" plasma TVs and a selection of bar games such as Beer Pong and Corn Hole Toss. Don't miss your favorite college and NFL action! Wash it all down with a beer or two!
Family Fest Zone & Kinderhaus
We have an entire area just for kids and their families! The German School of Tacoma will be on site with special arts and crafts projects. Thirsty kids will also want to be sure to have a tall cold one in the Root Bier Garden sponsored by Crater Lake. Kids won't want to miss the opportunity to take part in an authentic May Pole dance with members of the Enzian Schuhplattler Dancers, pumpkin decorating while supplies last, games like Corn Hole Toss and more. Back by popular demand- Kids Hammerschlagen with kid-sized hammers and easy to hit nails (children must be supervised by an adult to play)! On Saturday and Sunday only there will also be free face painting and an ALL-NEW Scavenger Hunt with a fun prize for every child who participates while supplies last. Kids can pick up their Scavenger Hunt instructions at the Root Bier Garden between noon and 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. NOTE: Kids of all ages can get FREE airbrush tattoos from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday as well as take home a free pumpkin on Sunday (while supplies last).

Join us on Friday, October 9, at 6:15 p.m. as we tap the Oktoberfest Firkin to officially open Oktoberfest NW! Location- Festhalle Stage.

Back by popular demand: The Oktoberfest Northwest Running of the Wieners! Multiple races, costume contests, great fun for the whole family in a stadium atmosphere right inside the heart of the event.
